wow, well it is normal for babies to shed some skin, but not as much as you seem to be saying i would have his pediatrician look at him.

My daughter's skin peeled for the whole first month. The skin on her entire body peeled off. From her head to her toes. Her ears even peeled. It's not that big of a deal usually. Also, for the first 6 weeks, do not put any lotions or creams on her skin. It will end up irritating her skin pretty badly, because it is still so sensitive. If some type of skin condition runs in the family, you should probably bring it up with her doctor. But more than likely, it's just the normal peeling that all babies go through.

My baby peeled alot. It is normal. You are not supposed to use any lotion or anything on them for the first few weeks because it can cause irritation. Ask the doc, I am sure they will tell you the same thing.
When you bathe the baby just gently wash the skin off.

My son peeled when he was a few weeks old. I thought that it was a bit strange at first but when I talked to his doc he said that it is normal. If you are worried call the doc and see if you can talk to him or the on call nurse. I am sure that if they feel it needs attention they will get you in or meet you at the hospital. But I don't think that you will have to do that. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS!!

Its always best to ask the doctor if there is anything that concerns you. And it may just be dry skin, try to keep lotion on it. Good Luck

First of all, it's "baby's" not "babies." Did you miss elementary school or something?

If the skin seems to get red or infected, take her to the doctor. Otherwise, just use gentle baby soap to bathe her once a week and leave it alone.

Sounds pretty serious! Can you take him to a doctor?
