I suggest that you wear something that flatters your curvy figure. If it's in your price range, go to Macy's THISIT and ask a sales associate for a suggestion of a dress that would compliment your body. Choose lively colors, because it's supposed to be a happy event, not a funeral. Be sure to accessorize and do your hair for graduation. Have fun!

8th grade graduation is pretty fun.
high school grad is even funner.
but either way you need a pretty light colored dress that hits either the knee or slightly above it
no hoochie mama
or prom dress
-this is only 8th grade
anyways with either low heels or pretty flats
ex:
http://www.mandee.com/nshop/product.php?view=detail&groupName=dresses&productid[]=MD-M03131038001003&startColor[]=327&dept=
or since you're a bit more curvacious
http://www.mandee.com/nshop/product.php?view=detail&groupName=dresses&productid[]=MD-M03131039086088&startColor[]=&dept=
a halter gives support but it looks pretty.
now for shoes
http://www.mandee.com/nshop/product.php?view=detail&groupName=flats&productid[]=MD-M04021041251029&startColor[]=&dept=
these flats would go with the green dress or if you really really love heels go for some like this
http://www.mandee.com/nshop/product.php?view=detail&groupName=shoes&productid[]=MD-M04012041823022&startColor[]=&dept=
my all time favorite outfit for you would be:
http://www.mandee.com/nshop/product.php?view=detail&groupName=dresses&productid[]=MD-M03132033371014&startColor[]=261&dept=
this color would look beautiful on your skin tone
with
http://www.mandee.com/nshop/product.php?view=detail&groupName=shoes&productid[]=MD-M04012041823027&startColor[]=&dept=
and accesorized with pretty and unique silver jewelry
http://www.jewelrytelevision.com/index.aspx?tid=14582&N=51%2057&Ne=0&cm_mmc=Overture-_-general&_=standard%20keyword,silver%20jewelry|&=|2256674163372864452&s_kwcid=TC=1606&silver%20jewelry=S&0=84&cm_re=Results*1*4&cm_pos=4&bca=MRH044&ptid=7362&R=2628039&cm_sp=
with some silver diamond stud earrings
http://www.diamondstud.com/display/jewelry.asp?departmentid=2001&querytype=department
like these ^
then just do your hair (im not sure of your hair texture so you'll have to do that) and put a little bit of makeup on and your done

Jeez. Next we'll be having kindergarten graduations. Oh, wait, we actually do. Exactly what kind of milestone is it to have completed 8th grade (or kindergarten) that it requires a "graduation?"
