My partner and I are watching "Fire in the Sky" right now or at least he is, while I ignore it. He keeps asking me what I would think if he said aliens got him. I said, I would think he was either on drugs or had some sort of psychotic episode. Now he is angry, as he doesn't deny the posibility of aliens and says that if it happened to him he would have to lie so that I didn't think he was an idiot. I don't like that. I'd rather he tell me what's going on. The risk that your partner will think you are an idiot, but taking it always is part of marriage! What do you think?

I would listen to him and quite possibly believe him. If we look at evidence of UFO's and Area 51 and all the security
that is utilized in keeping something secret in that place. We
can also assume that this universe is way to big for earth to be the only planet to have intelligent life. We seriously would be a bunch of morons not to consider the existence of
other life beyond earth and possibly much more advanced.
So many people are depicted saying they had been abducted by aliens and scientists and Dr's label them as crazy. Really though what if it is real and these professionals lack the evidence to come to a plasible conclusion. Fire in the Sky is actually based on actual events and his story given to reporters and writers alike describing the whole ordeal.
Come on start being a little more open-minded?

If my husband said he was abducting by aliens, I would laugh so hard. THEN if he was serious, I would believe him. Trust is huge in a relationship..even if it is very VERY far fetched. Why not get off YA and go sit and watch the movie with him? You never know if its the last time. Plus, he will probably be surprised. Just my opinion though.

Do you think maybe that since, he is watching the movie, and he is wanting you to watch it with him, and your on the "internet" he is trying to get your attention?
Maybe he is REALLY into the movie, and thinking of the possiblilty of aliens....
If you wanna know for real whether he is joking or not....Act Serious...dont call him names, or say he is on drugs..lol...
This way he will tell you whether he was joking or if he believes he has been abducted, he will tell you the full story in detail...and then You go from there, and decide what to do.
I think he just need some attention....

If this is the worst thing your spouse can think of arguing about I think you are in pretty good shape. When he gets abducted by little green men, tell him you will feel really bad and will be sure not to go out with the man in the moon out of respect for him.
If you have to respect his ideas, off beat though they may be, then he must respect your ideas, straight laced though they may be. And when he gets abducted tell him to wave at me from the ship so I can tell you hes really gone.

I think you should at least ACT like you believe him. I mean it's weird to think we are the only ones in the universe (I'm using my imagination here)so if he really WAS abducted he wouldn't feel that special connection b/w you two that he can tell you this. It might also spread to other areas not just ummm...aliens. Like he won't feel right talking to you about really big problems that are bothering him for fear you'll laugh at him.

LMAO! I'm sorry that's really funny! If my boyfriend said he was upducted by aliens I'd think it was hilarious. I think it's quite possible there is other life out there, but I don't think they'd pick MY boyfriend to abduct. THen again, maybe they'd observe him and say "Forget it, we're out of here, these humans are crazy" hahaha. If it's that serious, ask him/her why they are upset and if something like that REALLY happend, you'd hope they'd trust to tell you.

I'd tell him the aliens are waiting for him and have a probe stick with his name on it. He better rush outside, don't keep them waiting.
