two eyes give us depth perception...two ears give us directional hearing...perhaps two noses would give us something similar. do we really need to know where a smell is coming from or how far away it is?

Having two ears helps in locating the position from where a sound came from.
Having two eyes enables us to judge distance (depth perception).
These things are very useful for so many reasons.
Usually, the room you are in smells the same if you had a nose on the back of your head. In other words, a second nose would not improve our sense of smell.

Think a little harder. What's on the end of that one nose. Two nostrils right? There's your answer.

Two eyes for depth perception; two ears for stereo sound; one nose for one smell.

And only one mouth too! I've heard it's because we should listen twice as much as we speak..... Not sure about the nose thing though. Maybe we should look at things twice as much as we smell them? Lol
