I think it's crazy to believe we're the ONLY life forms that inhibit this universe.
Why would God (or whatever you believe) have created the entire universe with so many different galaxies, planets, starts, etc....for us to be it?
I don't think so...I think there's something else out there.

Yes, I most certaintly do. Here's why. Let's use Cornell Astronomer Frank Drake's 1961 equation on the probability for intelligent life in the Universe. It is called Drake's Equation:
N* x Fp x Ne x F1 x Fi x Fc x Fl = N
N., the number of stars in the Milky Way Galaxy:
Fp, the fraction of stars that have planetary systems;
Ne, the number of planets in a given system that are ecologically suitable for life;
Fl, the fraction of otherwise suitable planets on which life actually arises;
Fi, the fraction of inhabited planets on which an intelligent form of life evolves;
Fc, the fraction of planets inhabited by intelligent beings on which a communicative technical civilization develops; and
Fl, the fraction of a planetary lifetime graced by a technical civilization.
Without getting into to much detail and way beyond the purview of this simple explanation, this equation works out to potentially millions of other worlds just like ours in the Milky Way Galaxy alone. However, this formula is based on Single Star Systems. Amir Aczel in his book Probability One has pointed out that science now believes that 75% of all solar systems are binary in nature. That means each solar system has TWO stars instead of one. This would double, perhaps Quadruple the number of planets with life and intelligent life in our cosmos! For us to be the only intelligent life in the universe would indeed be " an awful waste of space!"

So much space...it's not only for us! Aliens might not exist at the same time we do for some reason (that's what I've been told) but someone else has to be out there.

I worked for NASA and several times we thought we had a space signal but it wasn't . The distance is so great it is nearly impossible to receive a signal. The distance is so far that it is impossible because of the rotation of the planets. The earth rotates at 15 deg per hour . So our signal would sweep across the other planet so quickly that by the time they checked there equipment it would be gone. !!!!

There are millions or billions of intelligent and technological societies inhabiting the universe.
We will never meet them but we may one get a signal from one that will prove that they exist.
We are the consciousness of the universe and it wouldn't make us the only ones,it would need entities like us in all corners of he universe.
They speculate about us the same way,and wonder if they will ever make any contact with us.

Well, their existance and their ever coming to earth are two separate possibilities.
I think it is very likely that out there somewhere there exist other intelligent beings.
On the other hand given the vast distances involved and the unlikely possibility of near light speed travel. I think the chances of us ever crossing paths is pretty much zero. And that is probably a good thing.

I don't know. I can't say I do because there's no evidence/proof. But I can't say I don't because to me it seems impossible that we're alone in this huge universe. For now, I just don't know.
But I do believe that there's a possibility that there are "aliens" out there.
