Just wondering . . . My daughter was born with grayish/light brown eyes and they eventually turned a dark brown/medium brown that sometimes has this strange grayish film over it - we have alot of people in our family with light brown/yellowy eyes that I love and I wonder if she can end up with that eye color - so just curious!!

To tell you the truth, i dont really know. All i know is that all babies are usually born with bluish/greyish eyes so if a lot of people in your family have that eye color it seems very possible for that to happen!

There is always somebody that will say that ALL babies are born with slate blue eyes, this is not true. MOST babies are born with slate blue eyes. Some babies born into ethnic backgrounds of darker skinned people are often born with brown/black eyes. Only 1 out of my 4 children were born with slate blues, the rest had black/dk brown eyes. My blue eyed baby is now 14 and has blue/green eyes depending on what he is wearing. The oldest eyes are very dk brown and the other two have lt brown eyes. Ask your family members who have the yellow/brown eyes parents what color their eyes were when they were born.
