I have been having a dispute with my landlord. I pay my rent on time every single month. However, she still complains to me about every little thing. Isn't this bordering on harassment? It's like leave me alone, I pay my rent on time so why are you bothering me. I am getting to the point that I want to take this person to court because of the mental anguish that she has caused. Anyone knows of any qualified attorney that would take this case?

no. Have you told her to quit harassing you?

First - tell her you're not interested. Why involve the courts or legal system when you can fix your own problem? It will be a LOT cheaper and easier that way.

Or just pack your stuff and move. Why do you stick around and tolerate her complaints when you can move to get away from them? It'll still be easier than suing her.

Second - what kind of damage have you suffered? If it's 5 minutes here and there, any decent judge will toss you and your case out on your ear. And that's assuming you find an attorney that will take it. If you do, you'll probably have to pay his fee up front, because he knows he sure won't win this case and be able to collect anything.

Third - let's assume that you do win, and you are awarded a judgement. That's a long way from having cash in hand. Any attorney will tell you that winning a judgement is only half the battle. Then you have to go after the person to get them to pay. That'll take longer, and be more hassle.

Fourth - hey, you've got money now - you got the landlord to pay you! Now your landlord is pissed at you, your rent goes up, and your lease isn't renewed. Guess what - you have to move! Hmm - I think that was suggested about 4 paragraphs ago, wasn't it?

Still not convinced? Still can't find an attorney? No problem - you can always act as your own attorney. That'll show 'em you mean business!

You should absolutely file a complaint to the Fair Housing Board. What she is doing is against the law & you are entitled to sue. Before contacting a attorney, however - file a dispute. You can do this online & some specifications may be state regulated rather then federally regulated.

Yes, there are lots of attorneys that do landlord- tenant work. You have to tell us what state you are in..an attorney can only practice in a state he is licensed in. So if I give you a New York attorney he will probably not beable to help you in lets say Missouri.

there is not any incorrect or correct answer the following: it relies upon on what you want and what your family individuals needs. in case your life is in NJ and your family individuals needs to stay there and so do you, then stay and promote the condo resources or keep it and get a resources manager to regulate it for you even as you in simple terms assemble the employ. in case you could't locate the money for to keep both, then both relocate to California at the same time with your family individuals or promote the position and purchase something in NJ. If I were on your position, i could in simple terms construct my life the position i favor to be. If i wanted to be the position i'm now, i could for sure positioned myself in a economic position to own (as they say, employ is paying some different person's personal loan!). yet in case you want to commence a clean life in California, then for sure keep your dad's position.

You need an attorney that specializes in real estate law. If none are listed in your area, call the biggest real estate agency in your area and ask them who they would recommend.
