2x - y = - 10

2x - y - 2x = - 2x - 10

- y = - 2x - 10

- 1(- y) = - (- 1)(2x) - (- 1)(10)

- ( - y) = - (- 2x) - (- 10)

y = 2x + 10

- - - -

m = 2

y intercept = + 10

- - - - - - - - -s-

use the slope intercept form y=mx+b
m is the variable in front of x

set it up as:

-y = -2x-10 now divide the -1 in front of y on both sides

y= 2x+10

b=y=10 you then substitute 10 for y
so your slope is rise/run which is 2/1 and your y intercept is 10.
Hope this helps and you may want to double check its been a few years since algebra

Slope-Intercept Form
y = mx + b
m = slope
b = y-intercept
(x, y) = point on line

2x - y = -10
-y = -2x - 10
y = 2x + 10

m = 2
b = 10

Slope = 2
Y-intercept = (0, 10)

y = mx + b where m = slope and b = intercept

2x - y= -10
add y to both sides
2x = -10 + y
add 10 to both sides
2x + 10 = y

slope = 2, y intercept = 10

do addition to get it in the form y= mx + b and then m= slope and b = y intercept
