136 = 12x

136 / 12 = 12x / 12 =

136/12 = x

11.3333333333 = x

Multiply both sides by x
8 = 12x/17
Multiply both sides by 17
(8*17) = 12x
Divide both sides by 12
(8*17)/12 = x
x=11 1/3
