one word - PASSION. We are made to procreate. And the dream of motherhood and fatherhood has been instilled within us for years. When it happens, and parents look into the eyes of the child they created, the miracle and beauty of that life - well - love is the key to all of our ills and children tend to bond us together in ways nothing else can.

Yes, I agree with the statement that parents have a special bond with their children. I am disgusted by the fact of some people thinking it is stronger in women...even if they did carry around the baby for nine months. A father cares just as much and is just as "nurturing," disgusting...

Well, I think because it is a part of who we are - a mixture of mom and dad. For women especially, she carried around the baby for nine months and created a special bond.

I read before that all animals (including humans) feel they should protect people with eyes that appear larger, mainly children.

Its a psychological connection to our offspring. When a parent has cared for a child, yes there is a love, there, even for foster and adoptive parents.
