China is the oldest surviving ancient civ.

The chinese invented many important discoveries that we still use today. Look at this list of stuff they invented

http://chineseculture.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.computersmiths.com%2Fchineseinvention%2Fwestdebt.htm

The Chinese also had their OWN language. Its not a derivative or stolen like ours....English from Latin. The Chinese is the language that all its neighbor stole from...ex: korean Japanese. There's only a few languages that are original...Chinese is one of them.

China was the world power from the BC era allllllllllllll the way to the opium war. During the Ming dynasty...the chinese built junk ships that dwarfed the european battleships. Zheng He...is the name...i believe could have changed history as we know if only he attacked Europe.

The Chinese Cuisine is the best. It has THE most varieity and they cook stuff in so many ways. It will take 5 years to try everything on the menu

they built one of the greatest wonders of the world....the great wall which can be seen from space!

Their culture is rich ....there are so many festivals and rituals that I dont know where to begin to learn.

They have the first philosophers that was most influential. I learned that Machiavelli's ideas were not new. Han Fezi or something like that has already said what he said in the BC days.

The Chinese is the only major civ that dont have a central religon YET they have this moral framework that is better than any others in the world.

In the modern days.....now....they are definitely a world power....with the largest standing army in the world...and now going into space exploration.

China is reclaiming its rightful place in the world...to be the best. They have been for so loong....and now they are making a come back...after the collaboration of european imperialism.

This is why I think the Chinese is the greatest and most beautiful civilization in the world.

have you guys ever thought about how amazing it is for the Han chinese to keep everyone together as one nation? China is as big as Europe....and why is it that china can hold together as one nation despite all the different dialects and nationalities? Europe on the other hand cannot. There's something amazing here. Truly.

you are not asking a question. more like lecturing. All languages are derivatives of others. Not sure what your Chinese history is? But there is no single language spoken in China. Mandarin (which I studied) and Cantonese are but the two largst ones. There are dozens of other dialects, some of which are not even understood by each other. The written language is the tie between them. It is NON phonetic. so a symbol although pronounced differently means the same thing to most of the peoples in different areas. As for the food? There is of course no accounting for taste. but the world has a lot of different foods that are very good. Thai is superb and is now faster growing in terms of new restauraants in USA thaan Chinese.

First of all, you really need to check your facts. The Chinese do not have on single language. There is a distinct division between Cantonese and Mandarin. Then, each is divided by regional dialects which have, in fact, borrowed from other languages. Secondly, English is a Germanic language, not a direct derivative of Latin.

Now, as far as Chinese culture goes, they did have a complex and long lasting culture. That's great. They are also responsible for a number of amazing inventions and discoveries. Both of these facts are true and impressive. Never the less, they have not managed to create in sort of "perfect" civilization. Take a look at the number of revolts and rebellions China has had. They have a long history of social and political strife the rivals the turmoil in any other nation. Granted, they have managed to survive all of those problems, but nevertheless, their history in not exactly a model of utopian existence.

Currently, China is having massive problems. The government is utterly corrupt at every level, poverty, and a lack of education is a major issue.

I will agree that China has done some amazing things, but you have to look at all of the issues that have accompanied their successes. Their history is one of violence and suppression and that simply cannot be ignored.

There is nothing wrong with falling in love with all things Chinese. However, you obviously have a limited understanding of history, and your adoration has clouded your judgment. Why not skip the adoration here, and read some books to enhance your understanding?

For example, you say that China is the oldest surviving ancient civilization. I wonder what this might mean to you. Anthropologists/archaeologists would not agree. As well, when you speak about languages being stolen, it is obvious that you have no idea what you are talking about. As well, ... everything else is embellished as well.

its not all that great. you over glorify the Chinese civilization, which was not what you might think is the modern idea of a unify great large empire.

you must take into account that there was a large group of Han Chinese which occupied the mainland and by far the most numerous, but there are also other kingdoms and tribes surrounding it. In fact these people fought each other all the time throughout history.

i lost my train of thought ill edit this later.

Inca empire was a socialist state very similar to USSR in 20th century. Government owned everything and people were assigned their tasks and their food and closes by government bureaucrats. Suppressing all natural stimulus for people to work Inca Empire was also as dysfunctional in the long run as USSR was. Both empires simply spent away what was accumulated by the previous sane governments in the area. According to Wikipedia Inca Empire took its shape only in 1460s and was in complete disarray by the time Spaniards came in 1530s. It had lasted only about 70 years = 3 generations. USSR had lasted from 1918 to 1991 - 73 years = 3 generations. Is it a law of history defining the lifetime for totalitarian socialist regimes as no more than 3 generations? @ Sarah You said that Inca had an extensive trade roads all across Americas. But it looks like facts are telling the opposite. If they would have those routes they would know a thing or two about Spaniards when Spaniards came. Spaniard were already established in Panama for a long time. Panama is very close to Incas geographically. But Incas were caught completely clueless. It shows that there were not much of the trade routes there. Incas were completely preoccupied with micromanaging their peasants and fighting bloody battles within their Poliburo ... oops... within their ruling family. ADDED Wikipedia is linked only to point to the time Inca Empire was formed. I am not suggesting that it contains all info about Incas. Let's go to the trade routes. Panama is close to Southern Peru and even closer to Ecuador (It was also an Inca territory) by the time Spaniards came. Japan was acutely aware to the European activities in Indo-China well before first European ship came to Japan. Why? There were trade routes and Japan cared about other lands from where goods or armies can come. Incas did not care about what is happening just 600 miles to the north of their borders. Why? No routes and no even natural curiosity. I am not blaming them - there are very natural geographical reasons for that apathy. I am just demonstrating the virtual absence of trading routes. 1 confused merchant in 50 years is not a rout. Smallpox is not an excuse for any country to neglect "foreign policy". Smallpox had to increase intelligence gathering if there was any curiosity in place before smallpox. Besides, Spaniards arrived to Panama made Panama more to offer in terms of trades... if Inca would care. Maybe smallpox had completely destroyed Inca civilization? Not at all! Incas kept functioning as a state, collected taxes fixed roads, built castles and cities, raised armies. But no routes. You said that Incas felt that they have absolutely nothing to fear from few white me coming from the North. This is exactly my point, showing absence of information flow from the north. These few white people had firepower, had many tricks in their sleeves and were extremely dangerous. If Inca would have trading routes to Panama, they would know that.

To put it simply,no,the way the chinese treat animals is disgusting, apart from there beloved panda!Only the other week in a newspaper there was a two page spread on the diabolical treatment of cats and dogs before they are killed for food, there is absolutely
no reason why they have to eat them in the first place, but the way they are handled before hand is disgusting,i would be quite happy to see china wiped off the face of the earth.

Hey look everybody. Somebody let the fanatic out of his cage.

A) China has many languages not just one.
B) China has many ethnicities---although the Chinese like to think that they aren't "mongrelized" (their words, not mine) like the West
C) The Great Wall is "barely visible" from space and "only under nearly perfect conditions and is no more conspicuous than any other man-made objects". That whole 'visible from space' legend was started in 1932---how could anyone know what was visible from space at that time?

Sorry to burst your jaozi

As for your question, no I do not think that.
