Shortbus, this does not apply to Bush and his trip to Columbia. He is the head of the Executive Branch unlike Nancy "Damascus Diva" Pelosi.

I believe so.... and to top that, she is disgracing the Presidential Office and making the United States appear weak and NOT united! Personally, I also feel that she went on this "trip" to completely undermine Hillary's chance at the mere Dem bid by forcing the WORLD to view Dem's as extreme left! PS...I am a staunch conservative Republican! I believe that if Hillary is to have a chance, she must come across as a "moderate" to the American public. Having said that, I pray to my God that she isn't elected....can you imagine 2 "queen bees" in that hive of Washington????

Nancy Pelosi is an huge shaggy dog tale to center jap leaders and to wise individuals. If she became no longer going to the middle East to regulate overseas coverage - what became the point of her vacation? Why pass? for yet another photo risk. It says "without authority of the United States." That is rather vague. Who or what grants that authority? It does not say the president. As a duly elected representative of the United States, she has that authority. Congress must ratify all treaties and all declarations of war must be approved by congress. The constitution does not give the president total and absolute control over foreign policy.

Did Houston-based Marathon Oil commit a felony? They still do business with Syria and aid the Syrian economy. Being that Bush is from TX, I figured he would be all over Marathon Oil's a$$ for doing business there.
