im in my young teen years, and very very pale =[ i am being made fun of by my friends about this, and they dont know that it actually hurts me, even if they are joking. its not sunny at all where i live, in fact there's snow everywhere and its springtime. i want to know if there's a way to get tan, without going to a tanning salon because my mom wont let me yet. this sounds kinda weird, but i find it akward asking my mom if there's a tanning lotion i can get. i dont know what her reaction will be...can anyone please help? thanks.

Online at Bath and Body Works they have 24/7 radiant moisture gradual tanning body lotion for $7.50. It gives you a shimmery apperance when you put it on and then gradualy gives you a more even tone, a nicer tan look. It smells nice too, tranquil lotus blossom. Check it out!

Neutrogena Micromist Tanning Spray. It's the best. Super easy to use and you don't have to rub it in or anything. Let it dry for 5 minutes then you can shower and get dressed as usual.

Next time you're at the store, grab a bottle and say "I've heard this stuff works really well. Can I try it?"

My guess is she doesn't want you to go to a tanning salon because they are bad for your skin, and she is trying to save you from skin damage. my mom was the same way when i was a teen & wanted to go tanning. so if your iinterested in a sunless tanning lotion, i'm sure she would let you since these do not cause skin damage. that was my only alternative when i ran into this problem. just tell her that since tanning beds are bad, can i try one of those sunless lotions instead. hell, she might even be proud of you if you act like your using a lotion to save yourself from damage.

there are plenty of self-tanners available now that are actually quite good, as well as lotions that provide just a bit of color for a summer-like glow...check out jergens natural glow & l`oreal sublime glow that add just a bit of color, & banana boat sundial for self-tanning...of course there are many more out there on the market...check your local cvs, walmart, target, or other pharmacies/discount stores...remember to exfoliate so the lotion goes on evenly, and u should exfoliate on a regular basis to keep your color nice after application, & use the lotions sparingly around your ankles, knees, wrists & elbows...wash your hands thoroughly after applying the lotions, or u will end up with brown palms!!! hope this helps!!!

Okay i would suggest neautrogenas build a tan i gradually leaves a glow and after several hours it darkens a little more every day it should build up.
