My perspectives about love: Some emotions don’t make a lot of noise. It's hard to hear pride. Caring is real faint - like a heartbeat. And pure love - why, some days it's so quiet, you don't even know it's there. Loving is a feeling that brings both joy and pain to a heart. Joy from being with that person, being filled with an emotion so deep and tender that no other feeling can compare. Pain from knowing that you're so so in love, that you're more vulnerable than I've ever been. Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. To be in love is merely to be in a state of perpetual anesthesia - to mistake an ordinary young woman for a goddess and a young man for a god. Love is as much of an object as an obsession, everybody wants it everybody seeks it, but few ever achieve it, those who do, will cherish it, be lost in it, and among all, will never...never forget it. Love is like a rose. It looks beautiful on the outside...but there is always pain hidden somewhere.

Love is that thing that makes you weak
It can make you talk when you dare not speak
Love can make a hero
Or bring a man down to his knees
Love can break the strongest will
Or be used to appease
Love can open your eyes
Or love can make you blind
Love is shapeless ever present
In hearts and in minds
Oh what is love i wish i knew
For the wisest cannot tell
The oppertunists write their books
And watch the copies sell
So what is love to me?
If i could only show
For love is different for each and all
And mines for me only to know
My little take on love for you in poem version :)

Selflessness. The willingness to lay down or risk your life for another. The willingness to put another's needs before your own. Loyalty too.

wow
well, there are different kinds of love but:
I love my husband, can't imagine my life without him
I love my children, can't imagine my life without them
I love my parents, can't imagine my life without them
I love my friends, can't imagine my life without them
did I answer your question?
