When ever my sister and I watched a werewolf movie, it was either o.k or bad. There are a couple of werewolf movies I like, and the rest are kinda lame. (movies seen- Werewolf in Paris, Werewolf in London, Van Helsing, Wolfman collection (4 movies in one), Teenwolf, Cursed, Underworld, Mystery science theater 3000:Werewolf, and Teenage Werewolf) There were some I can't find. Got any more suggestions on movies? List them!

For some reason, when I read my sisters folklore or stories about them. We can enjoy them more. (German folklore, Russian folklore, Middle ages legends and folklore.) Got any more suggestions on books and folklore? List them!

Overall, I wonder what versions of werewolves do others like. The one in the movies or the one in the folklore and novels?

Addtional Question:
Why on earth do they add sex and nudity in some of the werewolf movie? It get's kinda annoying, and it seems to stop the story if there is one. -.-

Some of the movies I think are not here in this state, but I'll try to look for them.

Werewolf folklore and the media's portrayal of them are always conflicting with one another. Many different little theories have been added into different movies, along with the directors new ideas.
Many of these changes can be noticed you have at least some basic knowledge:
Some of them include:
In American Werewolf in London and Paris, the idea of the Werewolf protagonist seeing the un-dead corpses of his victims is pure fiction, and no doubt the Directors theory.
Another interesting idea can be found in the Ginger Snaps movies, the person bitten by the werewolf doesn’t transform on the full moon, and rather the person goes through a slow process, developing more each day.
Another from this movie is the idea of that certain flower being able to repel the affects of Lycanthrope (although this might have been somewhat in tune with the Lycanthropous Flower).
There have been countless other examples, such as the usage of the Mark of the beast, the idea of Lycanthrope being a curse, a blessing, or a virus.

As for your second question, in werewolf folklore and mythology, sexuality plays quite a role. It is said that while having Werewolf in your blood, it makes you somewhat sexually appealing, and the person has a heightened sexual yearning.
This is evident in both Werewolf of London/Paris.

More Werewolf movies i suggest are:
Ginger Snaps series,
Dog Soldiers

I haven't seen very much in the way of werewolves...but I've known a few guys who really were into them. What I've seen, they were lame. I imagine the folktales would be more interesting b/c, I was into vampires and the American version of a handsome, Transylvanian count was nice enough but kinda unrealistic. I read the book 'The Historian' which is also about Dracula/vampirism but it involves a bunch of eastern Europe tales and I thought that was much more interesting than any of the American versions I was aware of.
As far as werewolves, I can only remember seeing 'Van Helsing' and I didn't get a whole lot from that. I've seen some History channel shows on it but those discussed the reasons the myth got started, based on some disease someone had or anti-social behavior back in the Dark Ages. They have a website if you want to check there. I don't remember a lot of images but I wasn't paying a lot of attention either. I took my son to see 'Harry Potter III' and one of the teachers at the end of the movie turns into one. Their creature was unlike any I've seen-kinda hairless.
Can't think of any stories...

I know this may seem lame, but I am fascinated by the White Wolf RPG world of Werewolves and Vampires. I love getting into the interworkings of their history, abilities and weaknesses. I also find their information to be the most accurate in relation to what you expect when you think of a typical Werewolf (and Vampire).

It's not just a game though, there are many fiction novels with great stories. I'm anxiously awaiting the release of book 4 of the World of Darkness: Vampire the Requiem series.

because of the fact the unique folklore vampire replaced into little greater beneficial than a shambling, senseless, rotting, bloodsucking corpse ( merely like the slow zombies of at present, greater of a corpse-y leech) and a werewolf replaced into living...the werewolf could win.
