I am currently 13 weeks pregnant. What symptoms should I be feeling physically at this time? Many times at night when I am sleeping and turn my position from side to side I feel like a ball inside of me is moving with me. Does anyone feel this? Also initially does the baby kicking feel like a light cramp? I do feel my baby move once in a while but sometimes I just have this light cramp for a second or so and then it goes away, that's why I was wondering if the kick initially feels like a cramp. I do not have any nausea anymore but besides that should I feel heaviness around my belly and stretching too? Sorry too many questions in one shot. I appreciate your answers though.

Im 13 weeks, due 10/10/07. Feeling very tired, all the time. still having lots of nausea, and heartburn. I have started to feel the baby, a little. when i lay down at night, i feel a little flutter. Not too much cramping anymore. Lots of heaviness in abdomen. This is my 3rd, so i popped out a lot faster than in the past. Good luck with yours!!

I am! Well I'm 14 weeks today :-D That sounds a bit strange that it feels like you have a ball inside of you that moves as you move when you roll over. I would say that's just your insides adjusting since it's around this time that the intestines move further up in the abdominal cavity. Other than that your uterus and baby aren't really that big. Some say you can't feel the baby move and some say you can. I believe it's a matter of how in tune you are with your body. It won't feel like a kick or muscle cramp, instead a very teeny tiny flutter that feels almost like a muscle tremor. At 13 weeks Baby is about 3 inches long and still swimming in your uterus, so feeling movement is very hard to detect. At this point all the fingers and toes are formed and baby has been swallowing for a couple of weeks now. Baby also is urinating in your amniotic fluid (pretty, huh?). Next week Baby will have fully formed finger prints and will have little small hairs growing all over the body. Since you've become pregnant your muscles are stretching and growing in your abdomen and you'll often feel muscle spasms all over your stomach area. But good for you for paying attention! And good for you that you're not naseaus anymore! What a great thing, isn't it? I'm not quite there yet but I think I'm getting better. Usually morning sickness goes away towards the end of the 1st trimester or early 2nd, and you're just a week away from your 2nd! They say that your energy picks up a little when you hit your 2nd Tri and we won't feel as lethargic, so you might be experiencing a bit of a lift already. The uterus is big enough and heavy enough now that it's important to start getting in the habit of sleeping on your side becuase the weight can push on important veins and decrease blood flow to your heart and the baby while sleeping. Other than that, depending on your body your stomach may be feeling more stretched because your growing and expanding. Just be sure to use cocoa butter and/or stretch mark preventer/reducer everyday so you don't start getting stretch marks. Moisturizer is definately a good thing becuase a lot of women have really dry skin during pregnancy. So eat and drink well and good luck! Hope my info was helpful!

At 13 weeks, you won't even feel flutters yet. When you first start feeling the baby move, that is what it will feel like, tiny butterfly flutters inside.

Cramps could be all kinds of things, like your uterus growing and expanding, or round ligament paints, or your ab muscles slightly separating, to make room for baby.

Yes, I have that heaviness and stretching in my belly, too. This is my second time, and I hate that pulling stretching feeling! It's kind of painful, especially after I eat a big meal!

Good luck! Enjoy the 2nd trimester. That's the best time!

I'm about 13 weeks. I'm tired and grumpy, nausea has subsided a bit (thank God!). The light cramps is probably not kicking but stretching. I have a lot of heaviness in my lower belly. And, my boobs are killing me! Also, I have acne which I never had before! Aside from all of that I'm tickled!
Congratulations!
Best Wishes!

Light cramping and stretching feeling is your uterus expanding with the growing fetus.....At this point you would not feel kicking...you may feel little flutters here and there but definitely not kicking....Good Luck!
