Ok, so i reserved Pokeomn Diamond, but i havent played a freakin pokemon game since the original red version for the gameboy. ( i know its been like nine years, but whateva)

And my question is should I buy one of the gameboy advance games now and play through it so I can transfer those pokemon to my copy of Diamond?

I think thats kind of like cheating though, getting ur old level 100 pokemon from the old games though, but if I dont then i can only get like the 200 pokemon used in the new game.

What the heck am I supposed to do? someone help Me!!!!

what to do is buy Pokemon emerald because it has all Pokemon ( Groudon,Kyogre,Rayquaza ) then once you get to a certain part in Pokemon Diamond you can put Pokemon emerald into the GB slot on you ds and put Diamond into the DS slot and then you can transfer and I think(i think) you can battle your own Pokemon from your emerald version and if you buy Pearl you can trade over your Pokemon so like some Pokemon evolve when they are traded so, oh and then also if you buy Pokemon ranger you will be able to get Manaphy egg and be able to hatch it in Diamond or Pearl . Hope this was helpful

You should get a game boy advandce game. I am a pokemon expert so let me help you. If you are getting diamond there is apoint in the game called pal park there you can trade your pokemon from Fire Red Leak Green Or whatever you are going to get. Trust me you can do this (Good luck on your game)

I would just stay with your new copy because the games that are out now have the old version of the pokedex and will NOT! be compatable with Diamond nor Pearl & if you need help get a game guide there only a couple of dallars they sell them at Toys "R" Us.

well it would not hurt to play through one of the gba pokemon games for when you get to the later stages of pokemon diamond/pearl because we all been there needing a strong pokemon to use in a battle and not getting the exp in one game means you can get a kick *** team together

Now that you had experience in your red version, head for the hoenn region in Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald. You should have experience there. And then you should get leaf green or fire red. Now, once you get diamond trade all your pokemon to it and complete your Dex.
