Susan, Your fish is fine, it's just taking a little longer than average for her to have her babies. Don't worry. The signs are that she will be very heavy and fat looking and in lighter colored mollies the gravid spot above the anal fin will be visible. Here's a link to a page with an article about breeding mollies.

There is a pregnant female molly in the middle of this picture:

The signs a molly fish is pregnant:
Belly will be rounded and getting bigger.
Look for the gavid white spot.
Also you could look for pictures of pregnant mollies on google or something to see if that's what yours looks like.

Mollies like all other live bearers will have a gravid spot at the end of there abdomen. The gravid spot will get larger and darker as the fish is sooner to give birth. YOU will kind of see a squarish bell when your molly is ready to give birth. This is the time to put her in a bredding net , or on another tank. The Molly wont eat the baby's for 4 hours or so but then she could eat all in a second. Its best to have plants, plastics plants are good for this, in the tank or trap for the babies to hide. Java Ferns are a god live plant for thiss too.

Well, I dont know all the signs, but when I bought my mollys one of them was pregnant... she got pretty fat before she layed her eggs. She almost looked like she had a squished marble in her belly. I just thought she was fat (at the time I did not know too much about fish this was my first tank) and when she layed the eggs the other fish ate them. You may want to consider these bags that they have in the pet store that are made for letting the eggs hatch and the babies to grow before they get eaten if you want your molly to have the babies and keep them. Good luck, I hope I have helped out atleast a little. :)

you will see her get fat. it is the only sign you will get. while she's waiting to drop fry she'll the two stay in one place. Or she'll swim vertically. Her gravid spot will turn black or brown and get extra desirable. Her abdomen will sq. off- appear like a container. different will stick to her because of the hormone she releases for the duration of delivery. Please verify your clear out is fry secure and that there is a lot of small flora for you fry to conceal in. solid success!
