I use VB2005. I want to know the registry's location of this numberand the code if possible to implement it.
Any help will be appreciated.

It's NOT in the registry.

You need to make a hardware call to get it. And remember, NOT ALL CPUs support this call, so be prepared to get back nothing, or even crash the program.

Intel has a small application called Intel Accelerator. install that and you can do it from windows itself. you can get it from intel website. you can see it form BIOS too.. use this ...this may work...

You can use AIDA32 to see if you can get it. Sometimes you can other times you can't.
