I would say just leave the situation alone. Sounds like the mom and baby probably are either doing fine on their own, or she has another man in her life who is acting as the father. If that is the case, then they need to be left alone to be a family. The child needs to feel a secure family home situation.

Unless your husband has reason to believe that the child is in any danger or not being taken care of, I would recommend that he just leave it alone.

Nothing. Fathers have no rights in this country. The only hope you have is if you are rich enough to hire a killer team of lawyers. Also, be prepared, you'll probably be hit up for child support soon. He'll have to pay and might never get to see the baby. The judge told my hubby that child support and visitation are two separate matters. Sorry. :(

How do you know the child is his if you've never even seen it?

How do you know the baby even exists?

I'd let it go. forget about it. the mother obviously has reason to run and keep the baby away.

And why does your husband have a child with another woman?

you know they make leashes for little kids- so they can't run off in stores, etc. I think you need to pick up a few. One for your husband, how ever many you need for each child you have, etc

1. Start with an internet search of the woman's name.

2. Search online phone books for her name in the last known town/city she was known to live in.

3. Check with the County Clerk's office for her name on marriage certificates for any change of last name.

4. Check the microfisch films of the town newspaper for a birth announcement around the time the child would have been born.

... there's a start :-)

*IF* he knows the name of the mother than you can hire a lawyer or a PI to track her down. Then if you wish you could file for visitation.
