Nope, I dont think that Jesus would want us to dwell on his death that much. It was his life and the fact that he paid for our sins that we should remember. Not just the fact that he hung from a cross.

Nope. I'm far from being a religious man but the reason why I would not wear one is because it seems to me like people worship it more than just trying to worship God himself. I understand the importance that he died for us but no one is even sure if that is the way the cross actually looked and even if we did what is the significance of wearing one?

mine broke off and i haven't worn it since. i guess the reason being my family once saw this actual true story about these kids being possessed by a demon in their basement and they had to do an exorcist, but anyways the parents wore crosses and they would hold it and pray and the devil just threw that cross across the room and laughed. So, from then on I still had my cross on but one day the chain just gave and broke and I decided it was more important to have Him in me with all my heart that just totally depend on the cross alone. : )

Yes, my mother gave me this gold chain with a cross, the day she left me in college for the first time. To protect me that's what she said, we were almost crying. I still wear it to this day ( I have it on now). I admit I am not very religious, I barely go to church ( if I go at all). But that have not, stop me from wearing, besides it reminds me of my mother :)
