Gender selection is based on the x and y chromosomes, females only have x chromosomes and it's based on which sperm is the fastest swimmer. an x or a y chromosome sperm.

Scientific sex selection is performed by taking a sperm sample and spinning it in a certerfuge. Sperm with the X chromosome (which would result in a girl) is, I believe, slightly heavier than sperm with the Y chromosome. Spinning the sample, they are able to make the heaviest sperm fall to the outside and the lighter sperm fall to the inside.

They then use only the sperm you want to use (whether you want a boy or a girl) and try to inseminate you with the sperm. It may take several tries and is typically quite expensive.

Another option would be to create embryo's, as though you were going through ivf, and then test them for the sex that you want prior to inserting them. Since this is another form of ivf, chances of successful implantation are low and it may take several attempts to succeed.

Non-scientific sex selection is usually confined to old wives tales about what you can do but there is no evidence that they are actually successful.

Identifying the gender of an unborn baby has become very common and not anymore cumbersome at all, and the process does not involve any injections. The present testing method, if I am not mistaken, is called 'untrasound scan' which will reveal the pregnancy progress, including the gender of the baby. However, it may not allow a selection - meaning one cannot or may not be able to opt for or choose a given gender!

i don't think of it may fairly, that's per chance why it did not bypass. besides, it can make no distinction. If a woman needs a woman and reveals out its a boy, its unlike she's gonna say "i do not choose a son" as her reason behind abortion. She could say thousands and thousands of issues- too youthful, no longer waiting, do not choose a toddler, and so on. Its a stupid bill. i'm professional selection, BTW and also, it may be too confusing to implement. except the female expressely cites gender because the rationalization to abort, it will be for any reason. Gender depending abortions make me sense undesirable, yet its nonetheless no longer my body and that i fairly shoudln't have a say over what yet another human being does with theirs. wish this facilitates :)

It does not matter what time of the year you have sex or if you have an injection.

The only way to know for sure what you are having is to go to a doctor and have a sonogram. Most mothers always have a feeling of what they are going to have, some have dreams, and others just know because of their motherly instinct.

A good site on this would be American Baby.

I also put a great link with a lot of helpful information on it.

I heard this from my friends who have kids: since "boy sperms" are weaker swimmers, if you want to have a boy, have sex at the peak of your ovulation; if you want to have a girl, have sex before your ovulation starts and then again during your ovulation, so when you are ovulating, only "girl sperms" will make through. But as with everything, there are no guarantees.

I have read they there is a calendar that is created. Red blocks for girl, white blocks for boy. In order to get a girl you must have sex 1 day before you are due for a red block. Vise versa for a boy. I do not know if all places do it that way but that is what I read

Well, there are X chromazones and Y chromazones. Y is girl, X is guy, there are a lot of them and they pair up, that then decides the baby's gender.
