people celebrate easter all over the world but it's not celebrated in a way like christmas, it's not as commerical and there's sadness attached to it as well as happeness. the sad part is that Jesus had to die on the cross to save our sins but the good part is that he has opened up the space between us and God. People in the Uk celebrate easter by eating easter eggs, painting eggs, organising egg hunts, hot cross buns...it's a time of remembrance. (P.S eggs are for new life)

im from the UK and we do celebrate easter if were Christians, thats abit of an odd question, so you can send egreeting cards to your British friends, and to answer your third question, people celebrate easter differently but the most common is a sunday roast with the whole family round the table.

Good friday and easter monday are holidays and thus most people are off from work .
Easter is a family time usually and so Sunday is spent having sunday lunch with the family and eating chocolate easter eggs. Hot cross buns get eaten over the weekend too and if you are religious you go to mass.

Some send Easter cards and most buy chocolate eggs for the children. Some go to an easter service to remember the death of Jesus - which is why we have easter anyway.

Good Friday it is Church and home to hot cross buns with loads of butter. Sparkling wine and a nice simple lunch. In the afternoon a nice walk to appreciate gods gift to us of this wonderful country and this beautiful world.
Saturday is Golf and a hearty lunch with a super meal in the evening with some good friends and a again a few drinks.
Sunday is Church to celebrate the most wonderful day in the Christian calender. See the grand children and give them their eggs and set them on a treasure hunt. Big family lunch and then relax for the rest of the day and have a few more drinks.
Monday will be a game of golf and a relaxing evening with yes you have guessed, it a drink or two.
Then Tuesday I will not be back to work because I don't work anymore but I will play tennis and go for a country walk. In the evening I will have just one drink.
Happy Easter.

yes we celebrate easter! we send easter cards and buy chocolate eggs. but its mainly for children, who believe the easter bunny brings the eggs. the religious element seems to have got a little lost, although we have eaten hot cross buns today and our daughter understands the symbolism(she is 6)
