neither. each side has its supporters that operate under the illusion that one is more "patriotic" than the other. The problem for both of them is that they link their patriotism to their parties and not the country even though they believe by being patriotic to the party means being patriotic to the country. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Theodore Roosevelt said it best (in my opinion)
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." —(1918)
"Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the President or any other public official save exactly to the degree in which he himself stands by the country. It is patriotic to support him insofar as he efficiently serves the country. It is unpatriotic not to oppose him to the exact extent that by inefficiency or otherwise he fails in his duty to stand by the country."

Neither. Republicans are only concerned with making democrats look bad. Democrats are only concerned with making republicans look bad. Neither side gives a damn about the country or the people they supposedly serve.

Neither is "more" patriotic: they just have different goals for the country and believe different actions are necessary to achieve those goals. Both are doing what they believe is in the best interests of the country.

Republicans are concerned with doing something about the millions of people going "ububububububub allah akbar death to infidels" before they blow up more US buildings and Democrats are too busy pretending that those people are just misunderstood.
