I just reply to offer from the Yahoo answer board from a legit lender as stated just wanted to double check if anybody heard of them. They are base in UK.

Anyone at all get an account and post whatever they want to on here - legitimate or not.

I would tend to think that a 'legitimate loan company' would not be advertising on Yahoo Answers, against the community guidelines. You might want to check the UK government web site for information on business registration, and see if they are an actual company.
