just for the record I am divorced but I don't think that should matter when filling out auto insurance.

Yes you are considered single but you were once married
so on an application that asks this it is vital that you mark divorced/widowed or whatever falls in lines for yourself. These type of documents are used for many things and not being honest could actually hurt you.

expensive, i'm sorry. fairly. A divorced single. because of the fact if to procure married, then divorced. You have been familiar as divorced. yet now that your boyfriend dedicated suicide, you're single. no longer widowed, for the reason which you weren't married. yet i'm so sorry expensive. fairly, i'm. merely stay good. :)

Particularly in the case of life insurance, the fact that you are divorced or widowed, may have a bearing on underwriting. There is probably no reason to get this information for underwriting property or casualty insurance.
I think insurance companies like to keep their forms as uniform as possible, for data input reasons; and like to get whatever info they can for marketing purposes.
So, if it's life insurance ... be specific. For auto or homeowners ... you can be general.

No.
Words mean things.
Widowed is a different word and so is Divorced, and they each have a meaning that is different from the word Single.
Single means NEVER married.
No you're not lying. If you are divorced and you mark single it just means you don't know the meanings of the different words.

That is right except dealing with a Divorced and Widowed who have gone through some drama is a bit hard and confusing. It is even harder if she has kids...

Mark what you are comfortable with. If you have no current living spouse, you are single.
