Rudy has more credentials and success stories than any Democrat or Republican. For example, in New York as mayor Crime went extremely down. Even before that he has an extensive history in many different Goverment positions.

I can't think of anybody who would be better able to bridge the current gap between Republicans and Democrats, as he is by far the most moderate.

Edit: Donnie, Bill Clinton is not running for president, so does it matter that crime fell under his administration?
Also, there could very well be other factors involved, ie. Roe vs Wade: Read "Freakonomics".

Crime went down, but that's more credited to his Police Chief at the time, who's now doing the same thing in L.A. The New Yorkers I've talked to despise what Giuliani did to the mentality of the city (pre- 9/11; pretty much everyone agrees he did a fantastic job during that crisis). I don't know if they're right or not, but I'm not ready to vote a mayor to president yet. He should have gone for Congressman or Senator and worked his way up to gain some national experience first. Or, if he wanted to preserve the executive image, governor. New York is a large city, but that's nothing compared to the United States. I just don't see him as ready for the task yet.

Still, the Republicans don't really have anybody better; except maybe the Mormon guy (Romney?), but I don't know much about his policies yet. From the Dems I like Edwards, or maybe Obama- depending on how the rest of their campaigns go.

Crime went down in NYC because of Rudy's Gestapo like tactics which violated the rights of African Americans. Rudy was very unpopular with polls of around 30% immediately before 9/11. On 9/11, his numbers shot up primarily becuase he walked out of town with the rest of the crowds. (What else could he do? There was no other way out of town.) His numbers also shot up because of the large amount of attention focused on NYC after 9/11. Remember though, that he left office only a few months after 9/11 and it was Bloomberg who really rebuilt the city after 9/11.

The man says he is pro-choice but he suggests to conservatives that he will appoint pro-life judges. Talk about a "Flip-flopper"!

He also has more failures than any candidate. I won't vote for him.

I mean crime went extremely down, and at the same time he fired the police chief who implemented the plan and police brutality complaints shot up to an all time high.

The man himself can't hold a marriage vow. He is a known adulterer. No religious organization is willing to endorse him and the country rates morals as very important.

Also he is just a city mayor. He has less experience than all of the other candidates on many subjects. He isn't whitehouse material.

I won't vote for him.

Giuliani is a tough authoritarian figure and if that is your concept of a good president then support him. It is not mine. His bully attitude worked for getting things done in NYC but Giuliani self-promoted himself for a lot of things that weren’t his doing. Crime decreased nation-wide under Clinton but Giuliani acted as if he reduced crime single-handed and then he fired his very effective Police Commissioner.

Giuliani also located his Office of Emergency Management in the World Trade Center. It was criticized as a stupid move when he did it. I think more lives could have been saved on 9/11 if there had been an effective OEM, which might have reduced the confusion that ensued among the police and fire forces.

Giuliani is not a nice man. His treatment of Donna Hanover, his second wife, was appalling. It made headlines here in NYC for weeks. You can gather that I am not a fan of Giuliani but, giving credit where credit is due, he acted calmly and well on 9/11.

Not if you want the remains of Ground Zero victims sitting in a landfill in fresh Kills while they wait to be use to fill potholes and pave roads.

If you want a legitimate 9/11 investigation, want to stop the Iraq war based on lies, bring our troops home, close off the borders, released jailed agents Ramos and Campean and arrests and impeachment for the treasonous North American Union Bush signed in Waco in 2005 without Congressional approval.

Vote for TX Congressman Ron Paul 2008

If you don't care about America vote for any of the New World Order, CFR, Trilateral Commission, candidates. They will see to it the borders remain wide open while the domestic police state marches on and the media keeps telling you not to worry about anything until there are enough FEMA camps up and running to hold true Americans who want to live by the Constitution and Bill of Rights and not Rupert Murdoch's employee Viet Dinh's Patriot Act

There is a better presidential candidate than Rudy Giuliani if you are a communist. Her name is Hillary Clinton.

Did you know Rudi G. hired Bernard Kerik to be the Chief of Police in New York City without doing a complete background check on him. Well, it turns out that Mr. Kerik had mob connections. When Kerik's name came up as a possible candidate for DHS chief, his past came out and good old Rudi had a bunch of egg on his face.

We don't need another incompetent boob in the White House. Try Barack Obama, he is the better candidate.
