The things you look for when dating someone are very different from things that make a marriage work. My fiance is honest and hardworking. He is serious and believes that marriage is forever and is committed to me no matter what happens or what kind of arguement we get in. He also has a great sense of humor.
You should look for someone who believes the same things about marriage as you do. You should also find someone who you can enjoy spending time with when other people aren't around and you are not doing anything special, just sitting around the house.

Integrity and character. I can deal with a lot of things, but lack of integrity is a nightmare wiating to happen. I wannt a man who knows the difference between wrong and right and chooses to do right. Looks are great. Money is too, but I'd so much rather have the complete love and devotion of a good man.

When choosing a life partner, look for someone with the same faith, honest, loyal, gentle, compassionate, and trustworthy. That "in love" feeling rarely ever lasts. Make sure you are good friends and can talk about anything including sex and money and goals. Because once the sex fizzles you still have to live together. Companionship has to be up there.

Look for items that would make you and he complete in a relationship. Most people want to be happy and fulfilled so ask yourself will this person fulfill my needs for; sex, love, romance, finances, commitment and can they care about me as I do for them? I think communication, trust, motivation and the ability to be a leader as well as a follower to one another. Goal oriented, mentally stable and willingness to compromise.

i look for personality over looks, someone with a good since of humor, someone who is passionate and has a tender heart some one who i can spend the rest of my life with and never get bored or tired of someone who will love me for me and not what i have someone who is honest and can communicate

Someone who wants the same things I want in life, someone who feels similar to I do on the important 'living life' things, someone who can get me to laugh at myself, someone who is intelligent, someone who is handsome (sorry, I know!), someone who treats me as an equal instead of as a 'wife', someone who respects me and someone I can respect ect. ect.
