The moon has mountains, valleys, flat areas (called "seas") and rocky areas. But these were created on the moon at the time of its formation and then from impact craters since then.
Triton is more active, with geysers and eruptions of water and water/ammonia, plus it is theorized that tidal effects from Neptune have caused geological deformations of the surface.
So they may look alike (sort of) but the causes are very different.

The Moon has some ridges and valleys, but not like the ones on Triton and not that extensive.

You bet! It has a ton of canyons (well kinda). & other ridges all over it. Its cuz it got hit w./ metiorites & other space junk.
