being homosexual, transexual, etc. and some fanatic Christian gives an answer saying you are going to hell and need Jesus to be "saved". I was just reading a post about someone writing a gay fairy tale and someone blasted him about not having religion. I think it is nuts. It is time to stop putting people down. Don't you think so???

hell yeah! u tell it sista! as far as i'm concerned, why should the kids who are "right with jesus" care about if someone is gay or not? what if they're not even christian but some other religion that ACCEPTS sexuality and stuff like that? ya'll should just lay off! especially if they are just coming out, dont you think they are goin through a hard enough time already?? quit biblepushing already! i, personnally, am not christian, but i do have morals. One of them is that it is ok to be gay! Whether you are born with it or it was your choice (some people think differently on that) why should anyone care if you love another person of your same sex? isnt there something in the bible about brotherly love? arent we ALL brothers and sisters after all? And what if the gays are children of Satan or whatever you think? You realize that if there even is a Satan, or devil what ever you wish to call him, He had to be created just the same as the rest of us, correct? By WHO? Satan is nothing more than that of a Fallen Angel of God. So in theory, if all you biblepushers think that gays are to be cast into Hell or being the children of Satan, arent they also the children of God? I do not believe that gays or trans' are evil or sinners or what have you...But for those who think they are, PUT A SOCK IN IT AND THINK ABOUT THAT!!!!!!
sorry, it is truly how i feel.

I am gay and a Christian. I almost fear more about saying that I'm Christian than saying that I'm gay because I don't want to be lumped into the fanatical, hypocritical Christians. They never listen to our argument about how the Bible was misinterpreted, not only about gay but about many things. They use verses in Leviticus yet ignore the other things that Leviticus says. I'm so tired of people believing that you can't be gay AND be a Christian or a Catholic or Jewish or practice any religion. I actually had someone tell me, "How dare you call yourself a Christian. You are an abomination." I don't tell people they are going to Hell. I know that I'm safe, that God created me as I am and that the only mistake I ever made was denying how he made me for so many years and therefore disrespecting Him by waiting until I was 25 to accept who I was- and how He made me.

The Christians will never stop, and I think most of us have accepted this. If only this were a "no fanatical Christian" zone on Yahoo Answers, and the system automatically recognized the bigots and trolls and kept them out of the GLBT section! Wouldn't that just make everyone's day? I know it would make mine!
One can only hope... But thank you for expressing concern for us! You rock!

The so called Christians here are extremist bigots who do their religion untold harm.
A UK senior churchman said last week that Christians go through their lives failing to realise that God is about "love and truth", not "wrath and punishment".
There is no HATE in the bible. There is no HATE in Christianity - that is a human emotion and the extremists, zealots, fundamentalists and bigots that are trying to hijack Christianity are the ones that are trying to spread their personal hatred!!! The funny thing is that because of it -if there is a heaven and hell - they must be going straight down come the day of judgement!!!

Couldn't agree more!
I hate when people use religion as an excuse to vent their HATE and PREJUDICE.
Didn't Jesus say, "Whoever is without sin among you, may cast the first stone?"
Those evangelical Christians love to overlook that verse!

I agree. People should get over it and let others lead their own lives in peace. People have the right to believe that homosexuality is wrong. They have the right to ''bible thump'' 'til their butts pop. But people also have the right to embrace whatever lifestyle makes them happy and content.

They're just bitter because it's GLBT not GLBTS(the S is for straight). They're getting left out, I think it's time to allow them to be a part of a greater sexuality than their own.
