I used to use a small wire brush on suede shoes. I think the last wire brush I used was the kind of wire brush that you would use to clean a file in a workshop. Before you get scared about this, let me tell you that it was basically the same kind of wire brush that ballroom dancers use on their suede-soled dance shoes.

Last year, however, I had purchased a suede cleaning kit from a shoe store that contains what looks like a white rubber eraser and a nylon brush. Use the white rubber eraser to get out stubborn spots, and the nylon brush all over. It seemed to work better for me than the wire brush.

It is best to brush your shoes every time after you wear them.

Just as another piece of advice, do not wear suede shoes outside if you know that it is going to rain or show. That can ruin suede shoes, or at least make it more difficult to clean them.

Suede is a pain to clean with out damaging it. they sell suede brushes and stones to clean them, but since you have invested so much money in those shoes I would take them to a shoe repair store and have them professioanlly cleaned. Check their damage policy before you leave the shoes with them!
