They have to use the equipment that suits the atmosphere and gravity of the planet.They might have parked theirs to get here and are now using the equipment of the area they landed in.Start with the dictionary.Look up human beings,part of the Animal kingdom.Now,what kind of being are you asking about? One not born on this Earth?The beings in the War of the Worlds craft in the movie.What do we call them? Odd-looking humanity.Looks like they had brains.Maybe they were a different model human.They had their orders from their leader I guess.Part of a force.Did they capture and interrogate any to find out their mission? Did they want to become our allies,but first had to show their mightyness,power?Maybe they wanted to use our telescopes to find a campsite somewhere out in space or someplace to colonize.

Universe is huge tending to be unlimmited. There are thousands of billions of planets out there. I believe it is impossible that there is not even one single planet with a habitat good enough for a living being of what ever form to live. Though it is impossible for them (as well as us) to find each other. The distance is waaaaaaaaaaaay too big. I have read a book saying that if the nearest planet outside our solar system had life and launched a shuttle with a velocity as high as the speed of light (which is impossible) it would take them 1000 years to come to Earth! so...

From what I've read from people who have contact with various kinds of aliens some seem to think they're here to help us with the evolutionary leap to a higher consciousness and survive the planetary changes coming. Others have said they come here to collect samples of various plants animals, and even to inter breed for hybrid children. I have read that there are populations of humans one other planets that were colonized to keep humanity going if we do self destruct this planet.

I think aliens' existence is a possibility, since scientists have discovered that there are more than 1 universe...logically, there should be another form of intelligent life out there. however, it can't be proved- so it's still a mystery.
