You're networking and connecting with people and you're enjoyably keeping your mind from becoming idle. Everyone wins!
I don't think 2 hours is long at all. That's about how much I spend when I get home from work. I like the feeling of learning and reading the news I want to read while I write back to people.
There are easily a lot of ppl out there who spend the majority of their waking hours online and even some who miss major events (like their wife giving birth - true story!) But as long as you don't feel like an addict or it's affecting your daily life, it's all good!

I spend at least 8 hours a day on the computer, while at work. Almost everything I need to do is done on the computer. When I go home, I might from time to time get on the computer to check e mails or play games, but for the most part I try to stay away from the computer when home.

We met on the internet indirectly and have now been married for several years! We resisted the internet for several years but realised that so many things in todays world was dependent upon access to the internet! So now we have arrived in the 21st century and I guess we spend a couple of hours a day on there, downloading music for iPod, checking bank statements and of course, Yahoo Answers. I enjoy the fact that I can write and "speak" to people without actually having to speak to them face to face or enter into a discussion other than by the written word....and its much more interesting than the TV

I spend a lot of time on the computer to try and keep my mind off other things. Probably on it 7 to 8 hours everyday.
I am going through a lot personally and I need to keep my brain as active as possible as I am not well enough to be at work at the moment.

Hi
I am a internet addict unfortunately. Have been for years. i have been going through a lot of things the past few years though including depression and an eating disorder...and talking to people online who have been through the same thing that understand can be helpful. Also it's a way My friends and I keep intouch..esepcially those who are now away to a different university than me.
I guess it's the new way to keep in touch...it makes us feel connected to the world around us..and makes it a smaller more accessable place!

Too much time. I have no friends, nothing in on television, and am working multiple part-time jobs so I don't have anything useful to do at the moment. I used to be a real person with friends and a real job. By old age and physical problems ended that fantasy. I used to be a software engineer... computers sort of became ingrained in my life.

How much time I spend varies. I have to do a lot of work on it, writing reports, analyzing data. I must say, I am somewhat fascinated by it. I think it is a great way to communicate and can bring the world closer together - sometimes too close. But... Spending too much time can hurt your eyes. Don't forget to eat. And don't forget to meet embodied people.

To be honest, what with doing an online jobsearch, the games sites and chatrooms plus here, I'm never off. I just hope I have something else to do soon!
