Is he trying to hold onto the past? I cannot imagine he would enjoy coloring eggs. However, I have only raised two girls. I do not know much about boys.

Children can still enjoy traditions. My son, now 14, (5' 10" plays rugby) still likes his birthday presents left in the fireplace by the bithday bunny.

Maybe the BF just wants the son to come over for some 'extra' family bonding! You cant leave someone out just becuase of thier age. A kid is still a kid. Maybe the dad will be doing something else with the son while you and the girls do the eggs *shrug*

I am 23 and I still enjoy it, just because he is a teenager doesnt mean he wont like doing things like that with his father, and it has nothing to do with being a boy. Because he is a teenager, he would say something if he really didnt want to. It is just a way for your boyfriend to include his son in the holiday, instead of questioning it you should embrace the fact that he loves his son and wants to spend time with him, try to enjoy the experience and see how creative older children can be.

Maybe he wants you to spend time with his son too. This is just a way to take him to see you. I'm 25 and I still love to dye eggs with my kids. I have 3 boys. If he wants to invite his son then let him. Your making it sound like a bad thing. If you want your man in your life then you need to start to know his kid. If you guys end up getting married he'll be your son also. Just try to make the most of it and most importantly have fun.

Some dads play basketball with their sons, some fish. I gues you got an egg colorer. At 13, working in the garden may be a better activity

some boys will do anything to get bonding time with their father. I can only hope if me and my fiance ever split up he will want to do the same for his son..I think it's sweet.
