I would call the Pediatrician.

I remember a friend of mine's daughter swallowed a nickle . . .she passed it on her own.

If shes still breathing and eating regularly, she should be fine enough when you go to the doctor. It may just go through her like you thought. It shouldn't be serious because my friends have said they swallowed a coin when they were little. She might be crying because she may have a stomach ache from swallowing the penny. Anyway, I Hope I helped out somewhat! Good luck parenting! ^.^ Bye-bye!

As long as she seems to be breathing fine, there is nothing to worry about. I know this sounds sick but check her poo to make sure it passes. If it hasn't passed by next week take her to the doctor to make sure it hasn't lodged in her intestins or anywhere else in her system. She should be fine though. Also, make sure she doesn't have anymore access to anything else she could possible swollow

I would say as long as it is not lodged in her throat and she is breathing normally, she should be fine.

The main concern would be that it would get stuck in her throat and cause her to stop breathing. If this didn't happen then she should pass it via a bowel movement eventually.

No doubt , it is because your freakin out. If your really concerned, call your local ER and talk to a nurse. Most likey it will pass but I'd still call a professional.

How the hell did she swollow it in the first place?! she's 8 months old!! my suggestion would be to contact the authorities... if you have a nokia cellphone dial 112, it'll contact the nearest hospital/operator even though there's no signal where youre at...

Try getting off of here and calling the doc. Even though you don't have a car, they may be able to tell you what to do.
