Why do all the cons say that the troops like George Bush and support the war?

I have wondered the same. The majority are not even "conservative" as they also proclaim. And the majority supported us getting out in 2006.

If Bush can lie, I guess they can too.

The troops are just doing the job they are assigned, not everybody likes their job but they do it. These bubble heads that keep saying they know what the troops and the people want need to go over there and dodge a few bullits and see how much they like it.

that's funny i know a bunch of troops, family, friends, and they support bush. people like you dont like him because the media wants you not too. it would be nice if someone could think for themselves. oh and for the approval rating, where do they poll these guys, no one has ever asked me or anyone else i know how we feel about bush. i think they just come up with a number to get easily persuaded people to follow right along. all the bush bashers here have no real reason for not liking him.

It's the rhetoric that Bush puts forth about the war. With this last budgeting bill, somehow Congress wasn't supporting the troops, but he was. He may not be the brightest bulb, but he (or more likely his aides) are master manipulators.

My brother is a PFC and my mother is a Lt. Colonel. Both of them do not support the war yet both serve willingly. My mom went to Afghanistan and my brother is shipping to Iraq in the next 6 months.

That said, it's completely irrelevant whether or not the troops agree with the president's policies. Their only responsibility is to carry out their orders. They can get do all the activism they want after they're discharged.

Actually, this was just reported in the Economist. Only 35% of the troops are in favor of the war.

I have 2 cousins, and uncle, and a brother in law that are all marines. They all support the president. What dofference does it make at this point anyways? Considering he hasn't broken any laws. What can we do? Don't say "Impeach him", because you can't do that just because you don't agree with his policies.

Ha ha, first of all, what kinds people are so-called troops? they are social misfits who join the military for free meals, they are national guards, the greedy weekend extra check earners.

Cons are our criminal elements in the society, we can not get rid of them, they are hiding under the constitution and protected by the laws while try all their mights to destabilize our nation. That's what Republicans are.

Cons and Republicans are enemies within.

Polls aren't as accurate as you'd like to believe, they can be done to suit what people want to hear... They are easlity manipulated.
