I did, but generally I enjoy books better than the movies.

If you are talking about the original movie (not the remake a few years back) then for the most part, yeah. Jack Nicholson was awesome in that movie. The book was great though, just that sometimes Mr. King can go on and on and the book starts to drag and I lose interest for a bit...not good.

The book was much better. But I do like the both of the shining movies.

My younger sister is a big fan of the movie The Shining. She also read the Stephen King novel, but I don't remember her opinion on the novel.

The Jack Nicholson movie was seriously spooky. Having said that, there was stuff left out of the booked that freaked me out (the animated topiaries) that I would have loved to have seen in the movie.

Yeah! The movie makes me laugh! Jack Nicholson is such a good actor!
The bit where is shows the twin girls axed in the corridor and there blood and limbs everywhere is a bit disturbing... But I've seen Saw 3 and I laughed at that...
In other words... The movie rocks!

Wow now let's see the shining w/ Jack nicolson...HEck yeah SCARY....but I still think that the book was soo much better than the movie...Both of them...(movies)
