When I was a kid there was only the theatre to see a mive in and it was too expensive to go very often after all it was twenty cents then. No such thing as TV or any way other than film and projectors to watch movie at home. That was out of the question because of the cost.
There was redio though and a lot of great programs to listen to. I liked gunsmoke, cisco kid, green hornit, and later the lux redio theatre.
I even remember listening to FDR and his fireside chats during the war. Then I sure did not understand what was really going on. By the time my father got back I was old enough to figure it out.
Things sure have changed a lot since then. Absolutely hard to believe. I sure would like to be around another hundred years just to see what is going to be tomorrow.

Since I'm also from the time period with no VCR's or other means of picking what came on, I watched Shirley Temple movies every weekend. I watched the Wizard of Oz each year when it came on, and I vaguely remember watching Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Oh, and at school, I'll never forget having to sit through the old Music Man movie, because I despised it.

Star Wars - I was told I would watch it 3 to 5 times a day when I was very little.
(Indiana Jones and the) Raiders of the Lost Ark - I watched that tape SOOO much.
The Last Unicorn
The Dark Crystal
I'm sure there were others, but most of my obsessive (repeated-viewing) movie-watching came in high school and later

When I was a kid, there were no DVDs, no Cable TV, no Satellite. The VCR was not yet invented and the Internet wasn't even a glint in Al Gore's eye.
There were 4 channels of network TV and a few new UHF channels that were barely visible.
Sorry, but the closest I can come is the Bill Cosby vinyl record album I played over and over.

When I was a kid, I watched any of the Disney movies over and over again. As a teenager, I watched Forrest Gump and Almost Famous over and over and over! I still LOVE those movies.

When I was a kid, there were no VCRs or DVD players, so I had to wait until a movie was shown on regular television, usually once a year. But, my favorites were Wizard of Oz, and the Sound of Music.

Threre were two movies that I LOVED as a kid, and drove my parents nuts by watching them over and over again.
1). The Karate Kid
I would always rewind and watch the tournement scene over and over!
2). The Sandlot
"The Beast!"
