I'm getting married and moving in w/ my furture husband. He already has an internet provider which is not AT&T/SBC.

If the email account in question was provided as part of your DSL account then yes, it will also be cancelled. If it were some other POP3 account such as Yahoo, Hotmail, or Gmail, then no. But if your email account currently ends with @att or @sbc or something similar, find a new one. I would suggest creating a temporary account at one of the POP3's listed above and forwarding everything to that account. Then when you get your new ISP email account you can just forward everything from your temp account to the new one you'll get through your husband's ISP.

Your email account will likely be disabled. The service provided by your ISP generally includes network connectivity and email accounts. Ending your DSL service will likely cancel both network and email accounts. What you can try to do is see if your DSL provider has an option where you can just maintain an email account with them without the Internet service. You may also find that they can offer email forwarding for a time period too.

Personally, I'd recommend sending a message out to all your contacts with a new email address. You'll also want to update any registered web sites with your new email address too (mainly for the "I forgot my password" reset option). Take this as a chance to get less SPAM for a while.

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding.

I would certainly think so. If you don't have an account with them any longer, how would you get that email? In fact, why should they give you access to it if you're not paying them for the access?

One way out in the future is to have an email account independent of your ISP. Yahoo, for instance.
