Hello Anwar,
Let me start by giving you a scenarios from one of the safest cities in the US (Santa Barbara) right after the attacks of 9/11.
It was my first semester there and around two months into the it, I was studying for an exam at around 5.30 in the morning and I see my best friend running down our house talking on the cell phone. My initial reaction was to ask her what happened because she usually sleeps in until 2 pm. She went directly to the TV and put CNN on and a few moments later we see the second plane crashing into the second twin tower live. It was the most horrifying thing I have ever seen in my life second to the Gulf War in Kuwait. Being an Arab and seeing these scenes over and over on the news the whole week made me secretly hate myself for being an Arab. After I heard about the hate crimes being committed against Arabs I could not blame Americans for because this is all the information they have available to them: the American media. In a way, the media manipulated their thoughts and feelings in order to instill rage and hate into some of the American people. Although, I must add the people that were affected most by this influence were usually ignorant and already had biases before anything happened. Just like the bombing in Oklahoma that immediately had the press saying it was an "Arab-like bomb," whatever that means. Anyways, we were instructed by the dean not to attend the school because threat notes were posted all over the school. In addition, a couple of Arabs were badly beaten up and to show you that they usually were the ignorant sector that was influenced by the media, they even killed Sikhs assuming that they were Muslims.
After a week of being enclosed in a house, we just had to get out because watching TV was just driving us insane especially having to listen to O'Rielly and his ridiculous suggestions of creating Arab concentration camp. Sounds familiar? Yes, the second world war and the victimized Japanese people. We went to a restaurant, and the waitress refused to serve us because we were speaking in Arabic and called us terrorists. This just proves to you, the extent to how some people are not educated enough to realize that there is a distinct difference between terrorist and the rest of the Arab world, like there is a difference between Americans and the KKK.
I have so many American friends that I regard as family members rather than just friends. These nice people are a reflection of the majority of Americans and not the minority that is uneducated and Biased. So, in answer to your question, they have nothing against Arabs but they have hatred towards terrorists.

Hello Anwar....What I'm about to say is what I believe and in my own opinion, I can't answer for anyone else, this is me. I was taught to like everyone unless they have harmed me in such a way to where I don't "hate" them, I just don't like their attitude or ideals. Americans and others alike have been taught thru the media and from their own experiences such as 9/11 that Arabs or people alike are all terrorists due to their actions on terrorism against the US or other countries. You can't blame those who are narrowed minded because of such acts from these terrorists. Now I know that not all Arabs are terrorists. I don't hate anyone. I was brought up in a Christian point of view that we are all God's children. Now don't get me wrong, I have strong feelings too but I try not to have any prejudices. The terrorists have hurt their own origin of people by doing their wrongful acts upon others. Which make others feel that the one bad apple has made the rest of the apples sour so do speak. Right now Americans as well as others in various countries that have been subjected to these terrorist attacks are leary and cautious. I'ts not hate actually that they feel, but it's distrust. No faith in their fellow man anymore. So what I'm trying to say is that me personally, I have no hatred on all Arabs, I have my dislikes on certain ones that cause harm to others but I know and realize that not all Arabs are terrorists. There are some good people in your origin and I have no prejudices against you or anyone in your country. I'm only against those that cause harm to others. I hope that we could all live in Peace but I'm afraid that is not thinking realistically. have a blessed day.

No problem at all with Arabs OR Persians as people !!

I went thru high school in California with a number of Saudi's and Persians, and I spent some wonderful time in Dubai, Baharain, and Kuwait City in the 1990's... the Gulf is a BEAUTIFUL area, and the people are quite nice.
