I have a 1996 7.3 powerstroke. I was wondering if useing propane injection will actually work as they say it will by giving me power and keeping my engine cleaner, or if it will cause problems in the future.

If you install a good kit ,it, safe as it gets but like with many power adders it puts extra stress on the engine internalls.Would be the same as installing nitrous kit to a gas vehicle

Propane injection can't work with diesel engines. The main point is that the propane (C3) has a very low viscosity for a conventional high pressure injection pump. So after while you will face a damaged pump.

Propane needs very special handling .
