She says she delivered a message of peace from Israel. He says there was no such message. Is this diplomacy that ends with these arguments among allies counterproductive?

I don't think that either one of them is lying. I think Nancy Pelosi just "heard" what she wanted to hear from Olmert. She let her personal aspirations--her visions of personal grandeur-- get interfere with her perception of reality.

Olmert has no reason to lie, Pelosi does. I'd trust Olmert's word on this one.

It's counter-productive because it is not Pelosi's job to be involved in foreign affairs. She is outside the constitutional definition of her job.

Nancy Pelosi is a liar. She went - unauthroized - to a known terrorist state and said that she was there to deliver a message from Israel - which was a bold face lie. She is acting as a shadow President and she should be removed from office.

maybe it is a republican conspiracy that israel did say that but when ask they said they didn't, to make pelosi look bad, that way the dems look foolish and have the support of our enemies all the while rep are plotting to keep control of the white house and fully regain the house and senate because the american people see the dems as inept and fumbling. could it be anymore obvious.

It doesn't matter who is "lying" (pelosi). What matters is that this is exactly why she has no business trying to undermine our foreign policy. President Bush should repeal her passport while she is out of the country, and let the islamofascists keep her. She apparently likes their sense of fashion. She would look better in a burqa than she does when visible anyway.

Nancy Pelosi. She never should have gone on this trip in the first place. All she is doing is feeding her own ego and making a fool of herself.

I think Pelosi was set up, and that she correctly delivered her message. She's between a rock and a hard place now though, and if she says more, the accusations by right wing Republicans will only escalate.

Du-uh! Olmert is just a low-life, typical, political hack who is interested in nothing but self-serving agrandizement..........

....and its STILL pretty obvious that its Pelosi who's lying.........

It would help if San Fran Nan would do her job instead of trying to be queen of the world.
