Whatever you eat or drink the baby will take what it needs from your body before you get a look in for your welfare, likewise, if you don't eat or drink, baby will draw off your body, which is why often women's hair, nails, skin etc suffer through pregnancy.

You haven't said whether you are being sick or just feel sick. If you just feel sick maybe it's just a case of finding something to tempt you?

Try eating a dry cracker or biscuit before you get up in the morning which will hopefully stave off the sickness a bit so that you can get a little breakfast down (even if it's unhealthy, even chocolate or something)

I found that I felt sick all day every day but as long as I ate really regularly (and I mean literally every 30 mins to an hour) I was a bit better.

Hopefully this'll pass at the 3 month stage ( a way to go yet I know) and the time will pass faster than you think.

If you are being sick all the time, though, you should see your doctor or midwife as you can get too dehydrated and may need to go into hospital.

Good luck, it'll be worth it in the end, I promise.

I hear ya sister! LOL, I was sick from 5 and a half weeks to about 3 and a half months.... PLease dont worry about your baby not getting enough nourishment. My doc summed it up as the baby being a parasite (not a great word to use), but she said that the baby would feed off anything in my body and if I could manage to drink, the body would cope with the rest and baby would be fine. So please dont worry about that. The only thing however, is that you need to take in fluids. it is ectremly difficult, I know but if not, you will end up in hospital just like I did, attatched to a drip. I snapped at people too and I felt horribly upset on top of all that was happening. I can only suggest coke or pepsi max, it helped me alot, make sure its flat, but ginger and eating before i got out of bed, bland food ect, never helpe me at all. I cried everyday adn at points, I didnt want to be pregnant. That was something I felt so guilty about.... I hope that it passes for you soon. Im sorry I cant be positive enough, but I remember the feling oh so well and had someone told me "it will pass" one mopre time, I would have been in jail for murder. Its probably the worst thing you can say, even if and when it does eventually pass. I would only try and fill your day up if you can manage to get off the couch... it takes a wee bit of it off your mind. Take care and good luck!x

I know what you're going through. I can eat, but feel sick immediately after, start gagging uncontrollably, and then feel hungry about every 2 hours. Sorry to say, as this is my second time around, there's not much you can do. You can continue to eat bland foods like toast, crackers, broth, etc. My morning sickness lasted until my 20th week last time, and I'm 9 weeks now, with no let up in sight. Most women do get past it at 10-12 weeks, so maybe you will. Good luck! And don't worry, your baby will get what he/she needs from your body even though you're not able to eat much now. Just make sure you take a prenatal vitamin daily.

Girl, I was exactly the SAME way the first 4 months with my daughter. If you are extremely nauseous, eat like you would if you had a stomach flu-bananas, plain rice, dry toast, dry regular cheerios, sweet decaf tea(Careful about herbal tea!!! Just good ol' fashioned Black and Orange Pekot tea or decaf green tea will do just fine.), soda crackers, flat cold gingerale(regular, not diet). You especially want something on your poor tummy when you take your vitamin.
You could also try Ramen Noodle Soup-cuz it has a bit more weight on it, but is still light enough to probably not make you hurl every time you smell something disgusting.
If that doesn't help, and you are still throwing up alot, you may want to make an appointment with your OB. You may have something called "Hyper emesis"(basically-throwing up alot), and he or she can prescribe something that helps keep that at bay.
Hope you feel better, Baby Girl!

i became so interior the comparable boat!!! I even have problem using interior the motor vehicle whilst i'm no longer pregnant... and now that i'm pregnant, even regardless of the shown fact that i'm interior the 2d trimester, i will not be able to journey with every physique and nevertheless experience nauseous whether i force :(. attempt a million/2 a huge-unfold potential unisom with 25mg of b6 half-hour till now a motor vehicle-journey. If this does not help ask you dr for a prescription of phenegen, its an outstanding drug! yet you won't be able to force on an analogous time as taking it, you would be fairly sleepy, i pick to recommend a million/2 of a 25mg pill 40 5 minutes till now a motor vehicle journey, and take the subsequent dose approximately half-hour ahead of the subsequent scheduled time in case you dr authorized. meaning, if its each and every 6 hours like mine... take it each and every 5.5 hours, and you haven't any longer have been given a lapse the place you're ill that can create a viscous cycle! If this medicine does not paintings for you, the subsequent factor to objective is Zofran or the two drugs mixed- in case you dr approves!!!! that's regrettably what i had to try this being pregnant to pass everywhere outdoors my domicile, a small dose of each and every medicine mixed helped me get to/by way of/from the food market.... yet i easily wasn't going out to any eating places and nevertheless at 14 weeks i'm having problem eating a extensive variety of ingredients!

I had a condition when I was pregnant known as hyper emesis. I was sick all the time non stop until I had my baby. I lost 40 pounds and had a healthy 9 pound baby. Rest assured the baby will get some nutrition out of the little you ARE able to keep down. Also please tell your doctor because now they have anti nausea medicine for the sickness. Good luck

I'm going through it now & this is the third time for me.
Try ice cold lemonade, that helps me with the nausea so I can actually eat a little bit of something.
Or a cup of coffee - I know you aren't supposed to have that much caffeine, but it takes away the horrible hunger pains long enough to eat something.

- My cousin lost I think close to 20 lbs throughout her whole pregnancy because she threw up EVERYTHING after she ate & she has a healthy 2 year old now, so don't stress!
:o)

You are not hurting your baby by not eating, so don't worry about that. But you should try to eat a little something each day. I would suggest never letting your tummy empty. When I was pregnant I felt horrible whenever I got hungry. And I also recommend trying to eat foods with protein. Many times protein helps with morning sickness. For me I lived on beef jerky! It helped A LOT. I could definitely tell when I was not eating it as I would feel really sick.

Good luck!

I'm six weeks pregnant too and I'm feeling sick all day and all night. As soon as I wake in the morning I'm feeling sick. I've tried eating before I get out of bed, bland food, nothing seems to help.

Hopefully it will pass soon.

Good luck to you!
