I don't think there are any definitive signs of male gender until you see that penis on the ultrasound! And even then people will argue that it could be wrong and that it might be the umbilical cord you are seeing!
I have 2 boys, and am now 15 weeks pregnant with my third child too(gender as yet unknown). With both of my boys, each pregnancy was SO different, and I lost count of the amount of people saying-"it must be a girl!" with my second pregnancy. How wrong they were! Apparently I "looked" like I was carrying a girl too (whatever that means)! This pregnancy, it too has been just as different as the first 2 were. My mother had 4 babies/pregnancies: 2 girls and 2 boys. She said each pregnancy was completely different- her belly looked different each and every time time. She got morning sickness with a 1 girl and 1 boy, and none with the other 2. So it was as individual as each baby was. Same with my friend, who had 3 girls and with pregnancies 2 and 3 was convinced she must be having a boy because she "felt" different... she now concludes it was just wishful thinking!
Just think- if they could tell by the curve of the spine, they'd be able to tell everyone by 12 weeks or so whether they were having a boy or a girl- I only wish it was that easy! Maybe this baby was not as curled up as your daughters were on their scans??
There are a myriad of old wives tales about how to tell the gender, and I think every single one has sadly been disproven by medical science.
I suggest holding off on the blue clothes until your next scan, where hopefully between 18-22 weeks they can identify the gender.. if baby lets you see! With my 2 sons, we could clearly see their testicles and penis, distinctly seperate from their umbilical cords, at my 18 week scan- even before the sonographer pointed it out!
Either way, good luck with your pregnancy- i hope you get your boy, and in any case, regardless of the gender, I hope you have a happy, healthy pregnancy and baby! All the best.

I'm pregnant with twin boys - the only way you're going to know for certain is the ultrasound between 16-22 weeks depending upon how good your doctor's equipment is and the baby's positioning.
While wives tales and gender charts might be fun they're neither scientific nor very accurate. The chance of being correct is 50/50 - the same odds as a guess of a stranger or a flip of a coin.

I have 2 boys and a girl.
With my boys - little or no morning sickness, I gained the normal weight right off the bat.
With my girl - morning sickness for the first 3-4 months. I lost weight in the beginning and only gained about 16 lbs the entire pregnancy - although she was bigger than her brothers, almost 10 lbs!!!!
The pregnancies were so totally different - that's another reason I suspected she was girl.
Her heartbeat was also a lot higher than the boys - another old wives' tale that was true for me.
The only for sure way - is to wait until birth and see what you got!!!
Good luck!

I have had three children and all of my pregnancies were different. I have two girls and a boy, with the boy in the middle. My sons heart rate always ran lower than the girls. Girls were always around 180's and my sons was around the 150's. I also carried both of my girls everywhere and my son I only carried in the stomach. He was my biggest baby at 9 lbs 2 oz and I gained the least weight with him also. This does not make true with every person, but this is the way it was for me. Also in my sons ultrasound they said he was a girl until I was 8 mos. pregnant and he was and is definitely a boy. Hope this helps, but all pregnancies are different. You can also go to this site and look at the old wives tales which sometimes are true and sometimes false. http://www.americanbaby.com/ab/story.jhtml?storyid=/templatedata/ab/story/data/1152807307553.xml&catref=cat1830184

I have two little boys...so perhaps i am a good person to answer your question. I guess the thing i noticed was both my babies had considerably larger heads than my friends baby girls - my scan pictures revealed this. I was also huge ! I was all bump ! Looked like a beach ball...but i am in my 20's and i am rather slender so that could be more to do with my figure. Hmmm it's a tough one ! Unfortunately we can never know for sure until baby is in your arms. I wish you lots of luck and all the best. x

look at ur scan picture again
If the belly on the baby is rounded and looks a simalar shape to a pregnant womens belly then its a boy
if the babys belly is of a flatish shape then its a girl.
this has worked for everyone that i have told before.
A lady who gave me my ultrasound with my son told me that.
just another thing
when i was pregnant with my son i ate healthy as i totaly went off fast food also unlike everyone else here who had boys i did have a big stomach but i also had a very big bum to go with it and you could tell from the back that i was pregnant.
So each pregnancy if different with each person.
Im pregnant again but too early to tell the sex yet.
Please let me know what it says your baby will be. If you are struggling let me know and i will give you an address to email your scan to and i will tell you what i think.

Well I'm going to be six months in a week, and I'm prego with a boy, i know everyone is different but they say with boys you usually dont gain weight anywhere besides your belly which is true with me, and we all know acne comes along with pregnancy but they say with girls more than boys, and i haven't broke out(thank you Jesus). My sister had a girl and she was the totally opposite of me, gain weight everywhere, broke out bad and she has good skin. So hopefully that's helps some, if you are going to find out what you are having you will know soon enough, the wait seems almost impossible but it gets there eventually.
Good luck and Congrats

I heard that you need more energy when pregnant with a boy...so if you have been extra tired or extra hungry then you could be having a boy!
I had a girl as my first and when I got pregnant this time, my first sign of pregnancy was extreme hunger and I slept a lot! Like, 13 hours a day! I am having a baby boy...

I have 3 boys and I craved salty food with everyone of them...my grosses thing was O.J. with a half a teaspoon of salt!! Now I am pregnant with a girl and I crave sweet things..cotton candy is something I think I could live on but of course I don't!! There are alot of myths out there but from a mommy who did have 3 babies of the same sex I promise you when this baby is born..even if it's a she you will love her no less!! Good Luck!!

There are no signs to tell what gender the baby is, ONLY way you can tell is by a scan around 18-20 weeks
morning sickness has nothing to do with it as a lot seem to thnk, theres old wives tales of less sex means its a boy and more for sex its a girl
good luck and congrats
