Oh man, when I was a kid I thought it would be so awesome to live on the moon! I would have sworn that we would be living there now (in the 1980's the year 2000 sounded so exotic and futuristic!)
I guess the little kid in me still thinks it would be awesome and fun to live there (or at least vacation!)

Not for me thanx. Mars is safer, it's got better gravity, a near 24 hour day, water and the beginnings of an atmosphere that stops a few of the nasties from outer space - not all, but some. You can do something with the CO2, like making oxygen but there is not any of that on the Moon. It would make a scientific colony but as a spaceport or similar it's a bad idea. Why have two gravity wells when you only need one?

specific: human beings have lived there earlier and there are plans to make yet another holiday. NO: thus far as uncomplicated human beings living their lives and elevating families as they do in a village, it’s no longer obtainable. The problems are giant. An extreme quantity of non-supply up help from Earth is needed for the astronauts basically to stay alive. each and every tiny area of daily existence on the moon desires extreme technologies to end. The vacuum of area and the lunar floor promises the main opposed environment human beings have ever experienced.

that's an interesting question. it sounds all great and all but besides floating around everywhere (ie. possibly flying) and getting away from a lot of people, what exactly are the perks...I mean I doubt it is actually "beautiful" on the moon. The view might be nice for a little, but then its constantly "oh theres the earth, it looks um different today, I think there are more clouds over Russia today."

I'd like to visit the moon for novelty reasons, but it doesn't look like a very happy place to live. There are deserts on earth that look more hospitable. I'd miss the trees, the blue sky, the open air, etc.

No, I'm content with the Earth.
But I don't see anything wrong with living on the moon...

I would like to visit there, but not live there.
I do not believe anybody will ever live there. It will be like the south pole is now, where people visit and even work there but nobody actually lives there.

I would dance on a moonbeam and then
I would make a wish on a star
and wish i was home once again.
Do you remember that song from Sesame Street?
