Spin is still publishing. Check your newsstand or book store.
A good music magazine - the best, in my opinion - is the British magazine Q. Q is imported here and will be at most large newsstands, or big book stores like Borders. Q has articles and info on the latest bands and CDs, info on bands touring, and reviews of new CDs and re-issues of older CDs. With Q, since it is British, you get to hear about a lot of great bands that have not broken out here in the U.S. yet. Go get a copy of Q and see what you think.

Yes, Spin magazine is still around. I suscribe to it, so I know that for a fact. Similar magazines to Spin or Rolling Stone are Alternative Press and Kerrang! magazines.

Yes, Spin is still around and until recently, I had a subscription. Another music-type magazine is AP (Alternative Press), but it deals with mostly alt-rock bands.

From England but available in better newstands:
Mojo (best of all they throw in a free CD)
Uncut (classic and new rock)
They cost about $8 or $9 but they have more pages and are more indepth regarding music.
