Introduction:
Talk a little about the American Revolution, not a lot. Just say that it was a conflict between America and their mother country Britain and was all because King George III didnt treat them accordingly. Then state your thesis and make sure to make 3 points. So an example would be... "The causes of the American Revolution were ___1____, ____2___ and ___3___"
Body Paragraph 1:
State your arguement for point number 1 that you stated in your thesis. Example being, " ___1___ was a cause of the American Revolution." Then prove your arguement using quotes or examples.
Body Paragraph 2:
State your arguement for point number 2 that you stated in your thesis. And prove that with quotes and/or examples.
Body Paragraph 3:
State your arguement for point number 3 that you stated in your thesis. Prove it with quotes and/or examples.
Conclusions:
Just restate your thesis from the introduction, just worded a BIT differently. Then add any closing comments about it.
Hope that helps :].

Most historians would do it chronologically, starting with a mention of how the costs of the French and Indians Wars had left the British heavily in debt.
That led to the taxes which led to the revolts of the American colonies. Key events would include:

in the intro be sure to mention each point you are planning on making.........go to the history channel website and gather a timeline of events, and go from there........in conclusion be sure to reiterate(restate) your points from the intro........make each cause a separate paragraph and be sure one point flows to another. I'd start with the passage from England and why........then go from there
