Accents are a big plus. I love a classic Italian accent like Sophia Loren's (even though she's a bit old for me now). I also like girls with Brazilian accents. Italians are considered very passionate and romantic by Americans, so I think most guys like myself would love to meet a nice Italian girl, but there aren't many in the part of the country I live in.

Of course they like Italian girls, who wouldn't?! But yeah, as a previous poster said above, it does depend on the type of girl.
Like, if the crazy Vespa girl who tried to run my friend and I over TWICE in Siena came up to me and said that she liked me, I'd still have to get to know her for more than her driving habits (scary), y'know?
But yeah. During my stay in Italy, I saw (and spoke to) many Italian girls, and most of them were extremely sweet (I spoke Italian to them), but I would still want to get to know them.
