Oh yes! But try explaining that to him!
As soon as the last nail (or whatever) is in it's 'cuppa tea babe' and the job is done - NOT!! two hours of cleaning up later and me realising that it would've been easier to do the damn job myself - will I ever learn? lol!

Oh gosh, when I get a 'day off' from cooking and he does the Sunday roast while I go to church for a bit of peace... he manages to use every pot & pan in the place, he stacks dirty ones on top of clean ones and covers the whole kitchen in fat.

He's never heard of 'clearing up as you go along' and doesn't put anything away, so I find things strewn all over the place and have to play 'hunt the ovenglove' - last time it was in the bookcase. He sets the table without moving the Sunday paper off it, then, of course, the meat is getting cold while we're waiting for the veg to cook ('cos he forgot to put them on).

Then guess who has to clear up? It's nice to have a dinner cooked for you, but I always wonder if it's worth it.

Yes I thought I was alone. He tells me he can't help it , If I want a job done I should expect a bit of mess. Unfortunately this usually ends up costing more money. I wonder if men secretly do this to stop us asking them to do anything then they can carry on either watching the sport or playing.

LOL Absolutely! I had asked my hubby to put up shelves in my office at home and he ended up having to patch holes, clean up paint along with putting up the shelves. Gotta love him!

i have a 5 minute window, her who must be obeyed has gone to the shop. we both take turns to cook dinner, but for sunday i have everything ready to start cooking nothing is left to chance. when its her sunday to cook dinner, i'm nestled down in front of the computer or console and it a barrage of "oh dammit, could you go to the shop and get me gravy granules" then "frigs sake sorry i forgot to get you to pick up some onions" so back out i trip once again. who am i kiddin i'd walk over broken glass bare foot to bring her back red hot coals barehand if she wanted them. thats what love is about.

absolutely, he decided to "help" me clean the trim and inside of my car after I washed it: I had to redo the windows, put the cleaners away, pick up the paper towels and rags (rags I had to gather old t-shirts to make)
