Lets just keep it secret and never talk about it - drink a few beers, watch a basketball game and go to the lake.
Life is good.

Loong before there was ever an Iraq war or a George Bush or even a Saddam Hussein there was an expression in the newspaper business that went: "if it bleeds, it leads". People read and watch stories about death. Look at how everyone was mesmerized by the death of a third rate celebrity in her hotel room.

"4 soldiers died in Iraq today" Really. I thought that was pretty good. By the time you figure out the death rate of the 150,000 people (that was completely rectally extracted, I have no idea how many we have over there) 4 is probably how many die in the states as well. Through car accidents, sickness, health issues, accidents, gunshots, etc, it wouldn't surprise me if they were safer over there than if they lived in DC (Yes, DC has a higher crime rate than Baghdad).
That's what I figure.

Yup, most definitely. I've been sick and tired of it for a long time now, especially with the war in Iraq, suicide bombings, etc. Whatever's in the morning newspaper that comes into Walgreens and I have to just slightly read the cover page and know what's going on. I think death should come naturally, when you're old or through genetics.., but in reality, it doesn't, and isn't that just great.. -_- can't do anything about it really, but just go on. Everything happens for a reason.

Yes I am. People are killed everyday in our communities, on our city streets, in our states and country and in other countries that we represent. It is a mind altering event that continues to harden the hearts of the American people and establishes discontent in our homes and schools. I know it is a reality, but there are times when I desire to hear the good news. That does not sell tickets I have learned.

Yes, i definately am. I believe that news channels think that you get better ratings if you tell all the bad stuff that happened lately, and maybe they do, but i would much rather hear about a lot more good things. And i believe that a lot of good things are overlooked when they look into all the bad stuff.

I guess you watch TV news or read the papers or cruise the internet news site.
i stopped all that last year and moved to Nicaragua. I'm now retired down here and its sooooo cheap and quiet. My blood pressure dropped 20 points.
Next time you see a death number, ask yourself what caused you to be reading that article or headline. Then ask why you didn't retire to Nicaragua.
